On Friday, June 17 and Saturday, June 18, 2022, the second baranja rural trail bike race was held – :BRUT 2022. Cycling race :BRUT 2022 organized by the Association Baranja and Tourism and the Association for Rural Tourism Djola with partners once again included a cultural and entertainment program, in addition to the sports part.
The program began on June 17th at the Belje Wine Complex, where the Baranja conference and tourism were held on the topic of an interdisciplinary approach to creating a cyclotouristic experience in rural areas. At the conference, after welcoming speeches, guest speakers presented examples of good practice and answered questions from the audience during the panel discussion, and the conference ended with a tour of the Wine Complex Vina Belje and a "rural banquet" of LAG Baranja.
After the conference, participants were able to participate in an entertainment program in the area above the Beli Manastir City Pools, which included :BRUTić – cycling training ground for children, animation games, creative workshops, knowledge quiz for children and parents, and a fair of Baranja's local indigenous products and handicrafts. In the evening he started :BRUTal chill with a DJ and:BRUT&roll concerts, and at 21:30 he started a concert of Psychomodo pop.
On Saturday, June 18, in the early hours of the morning, the registration of competitors and the distribution of the starting packages began, and at 10 am the race began on the routes :BRUT 25 and :BRUT 50 opened by Davor Gobac. The race started and ended in the area above the Beli Manastir City Pools, and it was driven in the area of Bansko brdo on unpaved roads, surduci, forests and fields of Baranja. At the same time, :BRUTić – a cycling training ground for children started, and as they finished the race, the competitors were given "finisher" medals. After lunch, the winners were announced for the contestants and medals and gift packages were handed out. :BRUT25 in the Elite category: 1st place Slobodan Petrović (52:44), 2nd place Tomislav Matešić (55:12), 3rd place Denis Brandis (56:28).
:BRUT25 in the Masters category: 1st place Goran Petrović (1:01:56), 2nd place Tomislav Damjanović (1:03:47), 3rd place Zvonimir Vakanjac (1:05:23).
:BRUT25 in the women's category: 1st place Lorena Škalac (1:14:24), 2nd place Ida Somolanji Tokić (1:15:38), 3rd place Goga Jurčec (1:22:27).
:BRUT50 in the Elite category: 1st place Boris Perković (1:57:35), 2nd place Luka Horvat (2:00:02), 3rd place Grahli Marko (2:09:16).
:BRUT50 in the Masters category: 1st place Tihomir Kovac (2:05:25). 2nd place Ivan Szabo (2:14:27), 3rd place Rade Ljubić (2:23:59).
:BRUT50 in the Women category: 1st place Doris Blažević (2:50:26).
At 4 pm in front of the Hotel Patria in Beli Manastir began a tour with the Mystical Bus organized by the Association for Rural Tourism Djola. The mystical bus is a tourist-interpretive ride led by professional actors and heritage interpreters, and includes a tour of Baranja, ambient performances, tastings, lunch and dinner. The mystical bus is intended for anyone who wants to get to know the hidden Baranja and enjoy the fun and mysterious stories of characters from Baranja's history. The program continued in the evening – at 8 pm : BRUT & roll warm-up began, and at 21:30 the group Gustafi performed.
With this year's baranja rural trail cycling race – :BRUT 2022, the tourist promotion of Baranja has been taken to a new level. The combination of sports, entertainment, culture and tourism provides visitors with new numerous facilities thanks to which Baranja becomes an increasingly attractive destination of continental tourism.
