First bike
When a small child walks, it is a sign that you may soon be thinking about buying your first bike. Our recommendation is that the first colon be a pusher bike (without pedals). The child will thus learn how to coordinate movements and maintain balance, i.e. balance. With this type of bike, the child is just pushed away with his feet, thereby controlling the speed.
ADVANTAGES:
– the child may start learning to drive early
– consumes much less energy when pushing away
– no pedals, making the force transfer faster and easier
– it is much simpler for parents
When you become independent i.e. when it can develop such speed and coordination to separate both legs from the ground, it is a sign to move it to the next level.
Second bike
Do not spend too much money on the first bike with the pedals of the child because it will quickly become small, and you will not even know "when the child outgrown it"?!
During this period, the child should learn to use the brakes, familiarize him with the basic rules of traffic, that is, the most important thing is that he learns to listen to you.
You may have noticed that we did not mention bicycles with auxiliary wheels, this is not an accident.
When a child learns to keep his balance on the first bike, he does not need extra wheels.
Choose such a frame size that the child sitting on the seat can touch the asphalt with his whole leg.
With both the first and second bikes, you could use adjusting the height of the seat. When there is no longer any possibility of adaptation, the sign is that the child has grown.
It is very possible that they will just tell you that it is time for a new bike .
It is mandatory to use helmets , gloves , knee and elbow guards , front and rear lights when driving at night , all in order to protect your child and gradually understand the traffic culture .
Third bike
We will assume that the child is already 6-7 years old. He has developed intelligence, knows the basics of traffic and loves cycling.
This is where the experiment needs to be done.
Our suggestion is that the next bike should be with speeds of no more than 5-7 speeds . So the bike has a gear lever on the right side of the steering wheel, adjusting the speeds over the rear wheel.
Then it is important to invest time in educating the child when and how to use what speed .
When moving from standby mode, it should be at lower speeds of 1-2-3 as the "working speed" is established, the child should be indicated when to switch to a higher speed of 5-6-7 ...
Again, when approaching a traffic light or other place where it will stop, the child should switch to the initial speeds to make it easier for him to start.
Some children will quickly accept speeds, some will not, someone will start using them later, and someone never will. As a parent, you have given the child the choice, and later let him just make decisions.
If a child likes to drive in mountains, uneven terrain or at high speeds, the use of speeds will have to be mastered.
It is mandatory to use a helmet , front and rear lights and reflective vest when driving at night , all in order to protect your child , accept traffic culture and traffic laws.
